Semi Productive Day..

I decided last night, that why would I wait for my husband to mow the lawn, he always has some excuse as to why he can't do it!

So I bit the bullet and dragged the mower out the front this morning - we had barely come home from dropping Miss J at school, and I had left the pram on our verandah so that Miss G could sit and watch, and I let Miss E play in the backyard (she kept coming and going to the front). We live on a very very busy main Rd, at an intersection - our yard is not fully fenced (despite our real estate advertising that it would be), so I was concentrating on mowing, and on Miss E (and trying not to let a rock hit a car at the lights!).

The last time I had mowed was almost a year ago. I was exactly 40 weeks pregnant with Miss G, and my husband was being the normal lazy so and so he is - it was Mothers Day. I asked him if he could mow the lawn, he says yes, and then in typical Mr S style, falls asleep. He told me I wasn't allowed to do it... Well I don't follow instructions very well, so there I am 40 weeks pregnant, pushing a lawn mower. Hilarious. My neighbours must have thought I was nuts. We lived in a quiet little cul-de-sac then.. It didn't bring on my labour though much to my disappointment!

So I successfully mowed the front lawn - it looks lovely, just needs to be whipper snipped (which we do not have, gah!) and it will look good! Went out to mow the back yard, and as that was about 60cms high, was still wet at 9am! I did say I was gonna go and try again, but its nearly school pick up time, and I'm busy inside now (busy blogging that is!).

Dinner was put in the slow cooker (Beef Stroganoff), will be served with rice, and peas and corn to add to more veggie content!

Lounge room is clean - had a friend drop by unannounced this morning - my house is COMPLETELY messy - things everywhere, Miss E had bread still sitting on the floor. I felt soooo ashamed! But hey, you come to visit me, not my house, right? So now its clean after spending 30 minutes doing it - I had cleaned it on Sunday, but you would never know that with Hurricane E on the horizon!

I really need to do the back lawns though... Might have to tackle that after school. Although we are meant to have netball training, might ask Mr S's aunt if she can take her, since she is going to the same place.

Weekend has gone by too fast!

We had a very busy weekend!

Friday night consisted of me making banners, pom poms, and cupcakes for the Open Day at Netball (Miss J, has just started playing netta, in Under 8's), tried sending the kids to bed ultra early (well 7ish!), but it didn't really work out well! Miss E was being her usual annoying self - but really, I think its just the 3 year old stage. She was fascinated by all the glitter and what I was doing, and the hubby just kept telling her to go to bed - that doesn't work, you need to take her there and tuck her in! Eventually, she fell asleep on the floor!

5am Saturday Morning the boy's alarm goes off. I'd been asleep 3 hours, broken 3 hours sleep mind you, but I dragged myself out of bed, as I wanted to jump in the shower before the kids arose, but of course Miss G wanted to get up, so I got her a bottle and as I was making it, Miss E walks in and takes the bottle to her sister, I told her to go and sit on the bed in there and talk to Grace, jumped in the shower and by the time I'd gotten out, Miss J was awake! It wasn't even 5:15! We got them all dressed and fed, and hair perfected by 6:10 and were out the door and on the bus by 6:23 - at Netball by 6:50am! We didn't leave netball until 3:30pm! Lonnnng Day for the girls, thankfully they went to bed early, didn't eat their dinner either..

Sunday - Mr S wanted to take them to the Parramatta V Tigers game - he is a DIE hard Parra fan, Blue and Gold runs through his veins. I told him I'd rather stick pins in my eye then go watch two teams I hate. But he took the girls like a good Dad does, dragged his brother, aunt and niece along for the ride - I dressed the girls up in Parra gear (Despite Miss J being a Roosters supporter, like myself!). They didn't end up coming home til 7pm!

We are also battling nits here at the moment. Using conditioner and a nit comb to get through Miss J's hair, and its just not working, need to get a new nit comb I think.

School Photos were today, so did the hair all pretty like this morning - AND she lost one of top teeth last night, so even the tooth fairy paid a visit! Awesome!!!

A blogger?

It's been at me for a while, this blogging thing. I've been meaning to sign up, as I'm an avid reader on some large family blogs.

There are days where I dream that I could handle 7+ kids, and have a really tidy house. But then reality hits.. I've got 3 gorgeous girls, and my house most of the time resembles a bomb has hit it. Especially if my 3 year old is home.

Maybe I should tell you more about me?

I'm a 30 year old Mum of three girls living in Western Sydney. I've been married for just over a year to my Husband, lets call him "S-Man"! We've definitely had our ups and downs in our marriage so far - S-Man has scizophrenia, was out of work for 18 months, and in and out of the local mental health unit for a few weeks here and there, he finally started on an awesome medication for him in December last year, and we've been hospital free for 5 months now (yay!). He started work again just after Easter (weight lifted off my chest).

My girls are J (who is 6), E (who is 3), and our baby girl (G, who is about to turn the big 1!). The two elder girls are not S-Man's biological children, but he is the only one that E knows is her Daddy.

We are a blended family. It is verrrrrrrrrry trying at times, especially when J returns from visiting her father (which isn't very often, he has become very lazy of late), or her paternal grandparents (who she adores, and I don't know how they ended up with a son like they did).

J is in year 1, and loving it - she has a lot of trouble with reading, but has definitely come along further in the last term, than she did in 4 terms of Kindergarten.

E is in daycare two days a week, and will be heading off to preschool in 2013 - exciting for me, as both J and I attended the same pre-school within J's school.

G is a lovely placid baby, although she is beginning to find her voice now.

Will I remember to update this blog often? I hope I do. I have a lot of things I want to get out, I also hope it all makes sense!

'Til then,
Bee
